Under the heading of Unions Achieving, there is a newsletter which is being distributed by the National Union of Workers, who are trying to improve the conditions and payrates for their members at Woolworths.
You will also find an open letter addressed to the secretary of the NUW. We would invite all our members to make comment on the proposal.

We have had no response from the NUW. We understand their reluctance to take on the wealth and the political pull of the SDA.
ReplyDeleteLooks as though we will have to put our shoulder to the wheel and do it the hard way, which is to contest every elected position in the future so as to enable us to have a union executive that works for the benefit of all SDA members.
We would like to congratulate NUW on their success at the Woolies site. Well done.
NUW is weak as piss,Sam Mete tried to get their help at his failed election attempt but didnt even get a return phone call
