Bullying

This post has been added because of a major bullying problem occurring in retail establishments. All the major companies have given commitments to deal with bullying complaints where in actual fact they are more interested in covering up the situation, fearful that their manager's behaviour will reflect badly on their company names. We would ask that this site not become a source of bullying in itself.

woolies bullies at it again ( i am sure this is part of store manager training to harass and bully staff into submission), wanting to force a staff member to go to a new store ( after 17 years in the same store and same dept), no notice, just took her off the roster> she rang the patheticness that is the SDA and spoke to a tosser... lets call him "gerrad" who was disinterested in listening to her, would not advise her, all this after a 40 minute wait. She will be resigning from the SDA talking to HR and talking to g.p. Staff should not have to be treated this poorly in the workplace, and why bother to pay a union when they refuse to represent you?

We are sorry to hear of your experience but unfortunately the attitude of our SDA representatives is all pro company. I hear tell that there is a special agreement which states the SDA will keep the employees in line so long as the company continues to sign them up as members during induction.
